The Texturing & Shading Artist works under the supervision of the Texturing Supervisor and is responsible for the design of textures / shading of 3D character models.
The artist interprets the 2D color concept packs and creates a 3D representation that meets the technical requirements and the artistic vision established for the project.
Skills and requirements
Demonstrated talent on developing the surface materials, textures and UVs for characters, props or environments
Unwrap UV and create textures for human characters and animals
Collaborate with the Texturing and Lighting Supervisor to determine the look of the CG objects of the project
Task driven, self-motivated and proactive
Good ability to problem solve and trouble shoot technically
Maintain a good team dynamics
Have an eye for detail, composition, colors, scales and forms
