Partner with the Tax Leadership and the India executive leadership team, developing a strong understanding of WABCO’s business environment, the business plans and the company’s current Tax structure. This in order to provide proactive advice making sure WABCO optimizes taxes while facilitating business objectives and goals.Provide tax technical direction, develop and implement local and international tax strategies and address global and local tax issues.
Oversee WABCO India's tax and transfer pricing structure.
Initiate, lead and implement planning projects related to WABCO India structure.
Manage Indian aspects of mergers and acquisitions projects, including structuring, diligence, and integration.
Ensure all inter-company transactions are in accordance with Indian and international transfer pricing rules.
Provide oversight and review of Indian aspects of the quarterly and year-end tax provision. Other Tax Accounting Exercises might also be part of this role. • Conduct preparation and review of Indian tax returns
Monitor changes in India tax laws to anticipate the impact on the Company.
Manage Indian tax controversy matters.
Develop, evaluate and implement the most favorable Tax processes for the organization as a whole. Drive specific Corporate Tax Projects.
Coach and work with the broader finance department on international tax and transfer pricing concepts where appropriate. PROFILE - QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics, plus Chartered or Cost Accountant.. CPA considered as a plus.
At least 10 years’ experience within a similar industry’s corporate Tax department and/or public accounting firm. Minimum 3 years outbound international tax experience.
Solid experience with both Indian and US International Tax Compliance preferred. Comprehensive understanding of core Indian tax concepts. Experience with transfer pricing and US tax concepts are significant advantages..
Experience with US GAAP, Indian GAAP and all relevant accounting standards.
Experience and understanding of a manufacturing environment in an international industrial business is essential.
Previous experience within the BIG4 Accounting Firms is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in working with remote, multicultural & international teams. Cross –cultural resourcefulness.
Strong Project Management Skills.
