Position: Store Manager – Retail Sales
Reporting to: Head –Retail Operations
Reported by: Sales Executives / Store Helper
Location: Westend Store, pune
Functional Responsibilities: The principal responsibility of a retail store manager is handling and overseeing all the day-to-day processes that are carried out in the store.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Sales of the store.
Manage store revenue, including cash handling, deposit reconciliation and delivery of deposits to bank.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
Ensure interior and exterior of store is maintained to company standards.
Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and sales records.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the employees also provide the same level of service.
Execute and monitor loss prevention and shrink programs.
Management of all store operational issues, to include store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories etc.
Ensure reports are sent on timely basis.
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Maintains store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Train, evaluate and motivate store employees
Maintain, encourage and possess “ownership mentality”.
Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions.
Conduct regular store meetings.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
